MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his first full-length album. It peaked at number eight in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was it was the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina, his chart-topping sophomore album the year following. Then in 2021 he sang the duet for TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. His parents and brothers also played the guitar. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. The first goal was to be a vet, but after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he changed goals for his future career.
