Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classic, old boleros, and traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and various dramatic forms. Ana started to learn how to sing and play instruments in the early years with her mother. She was given more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early years as a student and professional, she performed in various chamber groups as well as opera choruses from Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move in America in the year 2000, she joined a chorus of United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with traditional Latin American music at private occasions. She has been involved in many local organizations, both as a teacher and performer, due to her passion for music and arts. Ana has been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have being able to share her passion and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations for keeping this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
